I already have a severe headache tonight I posted on ubuntu french forum, to see if anyone succeeded to launch the game using the same distro i'm using myself.
We'll see if you obtain better results. I talked of this game on ubuntu french forum, a guy was suprised to see this game rated platinum on wine appdb too. In the mean time, I'll try to install Divinity (wich is one of the games I'd like to play if possible). If not, I will play Wargame ES, wich is still a good deal.
I tested steam divinity2 : the game is working...more or less. But there is big graphics bugs (floor textures missing), and antialiasins, blur etc...don't work either. Seems similar to that screenshot : http://appdb.winehq.org/appimage.php?iId=26296 I'm using none wine extra components/winetricks. Just video memory set to 1024mb. The game seems really, really cool, but not playable at this state. I may reinstall my windows hard drive to play this game, I think.
A lot of this is routed around money. If we keep converting gamers to Linux the gaming world will see the demand. Soon enough more Big companies will make new games Linux compatible, but also decide to update some of their older games to Linux too. All in good time. Look at GOG.com Most of the games were originally Windows only, but now there are a bunch of Mac compatible games. When Linux gaming grows and the demand is there, then we'll see some of these older games Linux ready. By then, I won't have any need for creating Guides.
Anyway I'm having a lot of fun with Wargame ES, even if the game is really hard (at least for me, but I'm far from being a good gamer). It still a bargain, even if I have to forget about the other windows games
I'm cool with that. If you find any other good native games, please post em. Are you into action games?
I'm currently playing Mark Of Ninja and Bastion. Really nice games, I'm at Mark of Ninja last level, and about 1/3 of Bastion. I'm also playing (well, more training than playing) Wargame ES, especially to play it with my brother online in the future (and eventually kick his *ss ). It's also why I wanted to install BloodBowl (to play it online with my bro).
I've heard of Mark Of Ninja and Bastion. I played the Bastion demo on Google Play and it was Awesome! I'll definitely check out Wargame, but since it runs natively, no need for a guide.
Not yet, but I'm posting a Guide for R.A.W in the morning. Next I'm going to test Sherlock Holmes. I already have Confrontation and Divinity II downloaded, just have to test them in PlayOnLinux.
I definitely will. Havn't downloaded it yet, but give me a few weeks. I may have to download League of Legends again because there is such a demand for this game.
I know... they are similar but apparently there is a huge demand for one and for the other. We have the most hits on our League of Legends guide than any other guide.
