locate *-img

command again.

Yeah, I forgot to tell you there won't be any output from 'updatedb'.

OK, it's definitely gone. Everything looks nice and tidy now. The backup is moved to /root now, but you'd might as well delete it completely from there, since you have a more recent one.

Now, it would be a good idea to make a new backup of the system, because the one you have on the external media is 4 months old.
