SO I have managed to install both BG1 & BG2 to the same virtual drive however I strike issues when trying to run easytutu it just says error in pol wine and that its crashed just wondering if anyone has managed to get it all to work and what you did to make it happen.
Baulders Gate right? What is EasyTutu? Can you run any other games in Linux? What Distro are you using? 64-bit?
That is some software to export all BG1 data into BG2, so you can play BG1 with BG2 engine and classes. I have never tried it since I have way too much nostalgic feelings with Baldur's Gate 1, but I can certainly see the positive effects of playing in the higher resolutions offered by BG2. I can't promise any testing of this just yet. But I have my vacation coming up in two weeks, I intend to spend a lot of time doing more guides and I might do one for this if I get it working. Some pointers for you from the EasyTutu website: So obviously you need DotNet 3.5 installed in the virtual drive. Another library that might be useful is the gdiplus library. I have personally experienced problems with some graphical installers, but installing the gdiplus library in the virtual drive is often the solution.
Don't forget, if you want to install any dotnet libraries, use Wine 1.5.18 to avoid crashing. Then switch back to the newer Wine versions to launch your game.
