Long story short and short story shorter to put Dr. Seuss to shame, GPU dies in my desktop, can't be replaced, bro in law gave me his old gaming laptop. It's 2009/10, core 2 duo, 4 GB ram, dual hard drive capable, ubuntu mate (of course, maybe arch later), and an Nvidia 9800M GS.

What I want to know is if such utilities exist that I can change what the touch buttons do as well as the mini screen above the keyboard.

Any info would be wonderful as this is my only computer until I have parts for the AMD machine I have been building for the last 6 months.

    Hope someone can help!

Sorry about your video card... my GeForce 8800 died recently too. I had to replace with an older 7900
I know it overheated because my case was very hot when playing games.

As for the touch buttons, I have no idea... Sorry

I'm mostly after looking to utilize the mini screen. Maybe the archlinux IRC will be helpful.
