Every time I install and test a game in PlayOnLinux or even Native Linux, I'll post my results here.
They will be brief because if it plays successfully then I will be creating a guide with step-by-step instructions.

So far I have tested over 40 games and continue to install and test more.
The majority of PC Games I have tested are directx 9 compatible and are older games... pre-2008
But a few newer games have worked great too... Wolfenstein, Mass Effect 2

Feel free to post your results too.
Please post which version of Wine you used to successfully install and play your game

The Best you can do for us now I think! Just keep cranking them out Boo.

I know how fussy I am about the games I play. If I go to a site and they can get just one game I really want to play to run....I'll be coming back when I look for a new game to play. The more guides we have the better our chances of having one game a person wants...yes?

I have Far Cry up and running...Been a while and I'd have to look to see how I did it, but it runs as if it were created for Linux!

Exactly, I"m sure you have noticed that I have been doing mostly older games for my guides.
    Because the work!
The more success with older games the more guides.
Not to mention older games are cheaper.
I'll threw in a new game from time to time If I can afford it.

Because of my wrist I'm playing very little with mouse and keyboard. These are the games I have, your welcome to borrow any of them to "guide up" cowboy.

Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare 2
    Crysis 2
    Chronicles of Riddick

UGH! Messed with Dark Messiah (Might & Magic) for hours! Couldn't get it to load past the prologue.
Sad because it runs really good and looks beautiful!
Everything ran GREAT, mouse, graphics, animation, sound... all perfect, then it crashes!
I installed it at least 6 times with different setup, but no luck

I got Lego Star Wars to run, but its pretty buggy... main menu crashes or freezes, music loops or audio cuts out during cutscenes and cooperative mode doesn't allow the 2nd player to control their character.
Main menu is buggy when trying to change the graphics or controller settings.

On a good note, the indie game Hard Reset runs perfectly! I didn't even have to install d3dx9 or anything else. Just create your virtual drive, select wine and install.
    What a cool game!

I bet you do! Except I'll give up for now, move and and try it again another time. Just like with Assassin's Creed.
All of a sudden it worked later.... who knew?

Far Cry is running almost flawlessly!
What an awesome game! Way before its time!

Took me a few installs but got it to run with OpenGL and almost all the video settings on Very High.
I got it to run at 1440x900 resolution with a very good frame rate.

Yes, Mass Effect is very EPIC!
Lots of dialog and story... very similar to a Star Wars type of universe
