Enclave is an older 3rd person view hack-n-slash game where you progress through small linear maps. Fight Orcs, Goblins, theifs and other monsters. The story is simple, the quests are linear, its a fun button masher for quick gaming satisfaction.

    enclave25.png

    Select Textures
    Adjust world and character textures
    Increase or decrease anisotrophy
    enclave26.png

    Rule of thumb:
High Setting = More detail, lower frame rates
Low Setting = Less detail, higher frame rates

    Conclusion:
Enclave ran extremely well since it is a directx 9 game from GOG.com
I cranked everything to high and it supported high resolutions.
I was impressed with the texture quality and the lighting for such an old game.
Enclave should run on any laptop and maybe even some netbooks.

very good guide as always, classic game, first titles with pixel shaders (xbox conversion), good excuse for buy geforce 3ti / geforce 4ti when out to market

normally runs without mayor issues (only gamma changes but dont grave)

    :)
  2. booman
Yeah, what is up with the gamma/brightness? All I have to do is open Nvidia controls and the gamma resets, but its quite annoying!
  3. mrdeathjr28
This issue stay since time ago (remember appear when begins test in blog) only needs re open nvidia settings for correct brightness (similar thing occur in tom clancy hawx 1, hawx 2)

Changing a bit theme wine 1.7.27 out and in my channel update some test with lastest nvidia drivers out yesterday (343.22)

In good news mirrors edge back to to work and various titles have better performance like as mortal kombat komplete edition

    :)
  4. booman
Ooh, awesome! Did you have to do anything different for Mirror's Edge to run?
  5. mrdeathjr28
With only Nvidia 343.22 mirrors edge - homefront back to run

    :)
  6. booman
    Ah updated your drivers...
I don't normally update my Nvidia drivers because I stick with the stable from Mint.
So I wonder if its broken for me?
    I think I'm using 331...
  7. mrdeathjr28
If you want can try x-edgers ppa them have lastest nvidia driver

However between 331.xx and 340.xx appears huge improvements in fps performance in various games on wine (using wine 1.7.22 and upper)

    :)

    Hmm, I might
Last time I tried, it didn't work and it messed up something on my system.

    Hello Booman:
I just installed Enclave and I think Im having that gama problem.
Did everything like the guide says except I used wine 2.21 (staging).
All my computer video went too white (like a shade of white is over my whole screen). What should I do? I have last Nvidia Drivers for Mint (Nvidia 384). Mi video card is Nvidia GeForce GT 610 - 2GB. Its a cheap card I know but it should work with that video card.

I never had a permanent fix for that gamma issue. When the game closes, I would go to my Nvidia driver manager and the gamma would immediately reset.
    That was my work-around
  11. Lorena
ok so i will have to play the game with that brightness? Im restarting my compu to fix it.
  12. booman
I don't remember if there is a gamma setting in game... you might want to check video options
  13. Lorena
Nope there is no gama settings :(
  14. booman
you may have to check a config file or search online
  15. Lorena
I will do that later. I posted a new thread about another game in playonlinux forums. Can you check it please Booman?
  16. booman
    I responded
  17. Lorena

  18. booman
