I'm amazed by how well i know theses songs. They are like the wall paper in my childhood bedroom. they have a tone...they all live together in my heart.
I never much listened to the country music in which they first appeared. But they must have reached out beyond country for me to know them.

when i hear one i seem to hear them all, though they are not at all the same.
When I hear them once more now some 65 years later...They have a tone and
    "i fall to pieces..."

There is a path known to the common among us
    who seek what is simple
They lower themselves that they might be uplifted.

    as they rise they sing...

I found this a month or so ago and it will not let me be.
There is something here that can not be defined.
A hunger that can not be denied.
    innocence in search of salvation.

REO is a band I never got to see, but would have liked to. At the height of their powers, they owned the '80s, and they were as good as it gets in rock.

They were from Illinois but I don't know if their shows were concentrated in the Midwest. Never got to see them either, but even as oldsters they rock admirably on.

    Taking a blessing seriously...
Me mither's family hailed from County Cork. Sometimes I think that Saoirse (pronounced Seersha) Ronan is all you need to know about Ireland. Above and beyond Oscar territory imho.

Wow, a great Bob Marley song...wait a minute... The Archies? I never watch the men in couples dancing. I mean.... who gives a fig? Or does that make me a sexist? If so, this little piggie didn't cry and run home.
