Odd isn't it. In the world we have come to meet and know each other
We have no bodies, If we have a sex it is purely attitudinal.

Yet we are still confronted with awkward hesitation in expressing our love and devotion to one anther.

I think perhaps we have heard these words to often from the insincere.

Perhaps we ourselves have used such words only to regret it.
And then of course there is fear of rejection
"My dear love loves me not"

So we have to weigh our words so as not scare the timid from loves feast.
But there is a price we pay when we fail to summon the courage
that is always needed when our words sail close to our hearts.

To you from Daniel with all my love I issue this warning to avoid a lifetime of regrets:
Although this song largely deals with romantic love. All love knows this pearl.

I have heard sons and fathers mothers and daughters expressing regrets that the good word was never given and now they morn the opportunity their silence lost them

I fell in love with this next song, have posted it before. But this says all I have been trying to say here. It takes a warrior's heart to truly love.

Banjo and bass...what could go wrong!
Prefer the first but like both of these toothsome tunes.

Diane Schuur really adds to this song.

Aaron Neville (oops, The Neville Brothers) is someone who adds a lot to the lexicon, this song is fantastic! Thank you for posting it Dan! It's a joy to hear.

    I think I know how to tell you something I have been trying to tell for ten years":O}

from a marital arts movie that ran pretty close to historical truth.

Chinese master in great repute for not only having never been beaten
but for his mild and gentle demeanor.

This takes place just before the Japanese invasion of China.
A Japanese master serving as an officer invites him to Tea.

This is my best recollection of part of their conversation.
Both men are both respectful and curious.

Their talk over tea is in a thoughtful and unhurried manner

    J. "Do you like this tea.
    C.Yes.
J perhaps it is a bit bitter, would you prefer another?
    C. No I have no preference.
    J. surely you like some tea better than others?
    C. No.I just enjoy the tea I have.
J but surely we grade teas as to their flavor and effect? We price them as to their qualities.
    C. To compare teas is to judge them. I prefer not to judge them. If the tea does not judge itself why should I judge it.
If I am happy it not does matter if the tea is cold. If I am unhappy the tea remains what it is. it does not need my judgement in order to please another.

The Japanese master nodded and they sat quietly together enjoying their tea.

This is a good lesson. Thank you for taking the time to post it!

Perhaps this relates to a story told to me long ago by a friend talking about his peyote "trip" in the desert?

"I noticed that the Earth was turning below my feet. This annoyed me. I jumped up and down, but I couldn't make the Earth stop." He said, with a laugh.

Perhaps, only perhaps I might un-use the energy needed to be annoyed about something?

It is a great one. Maybe I'm too attached to Ms Raitt as a "raucous" rock and roller?

Please covey this to your friend..if you can...no no no! When the world moves beneath our feet jumping up and down just makes it wobble.!

    You need to skate the valleys and surf the peaks and the world will settle right. Tell him not to feel bad. This is a very common mistake!! ":O}
