Oh my God! It's true...White people really can't dance! (That's a joke folks! There are at lest half a dozen white dancers of note! LOL
My second favorite version of this timeless song. But you ask how did Donovan do? Donovan did alright! ":O}
Music of the spheres? Off topic, I just got sucked into this, I'm not sure what the attraction is,but it's there! "She" is a 8 times world champion "He" is a nine time world champion
You know it just occurred to me that music,s heritage lays entirely with the people. If the forgoing generation hadn't been "won over" we wouldn't be likely to come across it in the next generation. America rocked the entire world in the 50's,now the entire world rocks. It's appeal proved to be universal. now everyone rocks because mom and dad rock. The division between the generations was very real. It was totally banned thought out the south and Midwest. Where it wasn't banned it drew Hugh audiences. It was a dark underground influence from beyond the church doors that so often gave birth to the best of rock and rollers. Once rebellion had\ given voice to the feelings of the young, parents and youth both realized how deep it ran. Rebellion. it's sharp edges slowly dulled and soften as grandchildren inevitably began to arrive. Moral of this story: If you don't want to rock an roll who will raise the young?
Holy everythings, Batman! How that man (and woman) can dance! What a jewel, thank you very much for finding this!!
Yes, I must get off of my butt and buy some much better speakers. And gravity becomes stronger every day. Arrgh.
It's amazing, commentators can yak for forever and a day. Some Blu-Rays and DVD's have an optional movie professional talking over the sound track. They can put a million words in about every scene. I'm not that interested in billiards, yet I have to say that these two make the game look easy. It is NOT.
People that are ten years younger than I am don't necessarily like the Beatles. That's fair, the music of your age tends to stick in your brain. Recently saw "The U.S. vs John Lennon" again. What a hero he was, at least for me.
It's a great, great song. I'm confused though, "can't live without you," then "I can't give anymore." If he can't give any more can he really complain about living without her? If giving more is necessary can he draw the the line and refuse to give any more? In other words, giving more is necessary but he won't do it. Or the woman isn't worth it, so shut up and stop bitching? Nillson is a great artist, even maybe in a class of his own. But Harry, WE don't need any MORE confusion!
