    I just watched this performance again.(BB King's) It took me a few minutes to realize for whom he was performing.
    But it was this last viewing that it came to me. BB King broke a lot a of guys out of jail if only for an hour...
    i don't know if it' was his best concert. But You could circle the world and not find a more appreciated one.

    Agreed.I would make a guess that in abandoning his natural inclinations he lost a big piece of Little Richard's
    inane joy... But not even a mistaken sacrifice goes noticed in heaven.

    Rather than re-post, I suggest one goes back to page one of this thread. Watch Little Richard "Jump back in the Alley when he sings "Long tall Sally."
    One of the funniest and simplest stage moves I ever want to see.":O}

    In my ramblings on Django I came across a top notch guitarist who did a lengthy experiment with adopting Django's style. he said that after several years of practice he came to the conclusion That Django was as good as he was because of his style
    He reasoned that the split second of time it takes to select which finger to use is shorted when we only have two to choose from..hence an advantage.

    I'm glad to learn that Senhor Dangerfield was a good guy. Whew!
    Type casting indeed kills many acting careers. After being seen as the same, even very interesting character for three or more years that face is awful hard to forget. I call it a durn shame. If your part in the same tv show brings the end, let's hope that you are indeed quite over payed for your role!

    It's fantastic that Mr Reinhard turned his disability into gold! Well done, Django!

    In his day Gypsies were widely despised. Blamed if a cow went dry or a goat went missing.
    Yet Django never failed to let his audiences know he was a Gypsy.

    His playing enough to make anyone wish they to were gypsy.

    This man goes back a way. He comes from a time even uglier than today as far as race relations go.

    Singer dancer movie actor, political gad fly.

    I hold his movie performances dear. He extrudes compassion I can think of only one other of his era that had the same effect on me...he's next.

    The man Rudolf Nureyev called the most graceful he had ever seen.
    The intro is of some slight interest, but hang in things get very Astaire

    But he wasn't always old. He dances here with his favorite partner. Please note that Ginger does everything he does...except she is in 6 inch heels!

    It's a comedy dance movie. Ginger plays a dancer who can't teach her slow witted partner a thing. But to her surprise he insist on showing her manger what she taught him...something she would rather her boss didn't see!!

    I had a friend once a real fan. who told me that Fred got "spiked" by Ginger in rehearsal, the top of his arch, could hardly walk for a week. Fred claimed that it was entirely his own misstep.
    But Ginger had the unmitigated gall to claim it was her clumsiness that was to blame.
    Clumsiness! indeed!! LOL

    Tap as a dance form can claim a singular distinction. It Is Dance that Creates the music that is danced to. A dance that is largely judged by the music it creates.

    If you listen carefully you find something rather beautiful. You only hear one dancer!
    But when they choose to go silent, they seem to float!

    That's how tight they were.":O}
    Enjoy.

    Gypsies are still despised in Europe and in the British Isles. Is the working formula for all of us:
    Gotta hate somebody?
    Seems like that too often.

    Wouldn't see anybody live anymore. Why? It's too strenuous for old ones. Really was privileged to see so many performers live when I was younger! And didn't know it---of course!

    I forgot that he left us in 1986. For some reason he seems eternal to me. Seriously.

    They were so amazingly amazing!
    I've seen on screen over the years testimony that Ginger's shoes were at times full of blood. Talk about a work ethic!

    The first of three by Tom Waits. This is an amazing talent. I'm going to start you off slow so you'll know your in good hands when things get rough.
    A song of unspoken pain, pain that dwells entirely beyond the power of words.
