Argh, far from my favorite musician. At least we can say he added this one for a populace that too often didn't give a damn.
Embarrassingly I still don't know what this song is about. I'm not very good at deciphering lyrics. Melanie was OK in my book.
This is a great song, thank you very much PPM! Actually saw them live at least twice, they sure didn't fit into the strictures of popular music at that time. Kudos for originality! Ttbmk they were in a love triangle that made life really tough for them. Don't know if or how it was resolved, sure hope it was.
Everyone knows "For What it's Worth," I also really like "Mr Soul": Is this MC a total jerk, or what?
Even though they played some great music, I was never a fan of theirs. Only album I bought was "Sticky Fingers" because the title and the album cover had a zipper on it. Struck my sexual funny bone-no pun intended!! LOL
Jeez, I remember The Hollywood Palace show. Usually Bing was the host; that guy is Cyd Charisse's husband Tony Martin. He was a sax player and actor. Cyd was on the show often. [...the reason I watched the show...I already knew what a good-looking woman looked like]
Good List! Alas if I made a list I'd have to revise it every other day...So I'll go with yours TR.":O}
Not a big fan but She does a few things I really like, this is one. There's nothing I can do, I'm always lost I'm Living in powder keg and giving off sparks." Now there's a shining lyric! ":O}
Wow, I don't remember the show, but that don't mean nothing. Bing Crosby was the more usual host? Who knew? "The Buffalo Springfield," how hip can you get?
Saw a story about the recording of "Gimme Shelter" somewhere. Seems that the woman who sung her heart out in her part of the song was called at 4AM or other un-Godly hour and asked to come to the studio. She was surprised that it was the Stones. Supposedly she gave birth prematurely because of the oomph she put into her part. I always thought that her part was the most important piece of that tune.
