Patti Smith stood in for Mr Dylan at the award ceremony in Scandinavia. She sang "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall," very respectfully.

We walked the same streets wore the same clothes
    seeking "love among the ruins."

This world would not could not be the same had we to live without his
    love.

It will be close I think, but I hope I go before you do.

I hope we never die. Of course, everyone says that. Dunno exactly why, but I'm a -scared to open the parcel containing my copy of the I-Ching. Finally found three same date quarters. They sit patiently on my desk.

It doesn't hurt at all that you show caution in your approach.

Just remember that you are not committed to anything. A mutual friend of yours suggested that you stop by and say hello if you were of a mind to.

You can always make an excuse and try to stop by next time around.

What The I-Ching offers you was meant to help you on your journey. Nothing much will change except perhaps your understanding of that journey. Each man must decide for himself what might help or hinder him.

This isn't something you need do for me. I like you just the way you are. And the I-Ching "treats all men as straw dogs." Meaning we are all subject to the same laws. It shows no favor.
It invites none, flatters none refuses none. All are free to come and go as they wish.

In Hexagram 4 Youthful folly it says

    The teacher must wait for the student to approach him otherwise there is no guarantee of the necessary receptivity. Nobody's going to be mad if your late due to in-climate weather.":O}

Thank you for your reply. "All men as straw dogs." I love that, maybe I'm feeling made of straw a bit more than usual. Not a bad thing I'm thinking.

Very interesting people those Mayans. They were wrong about 2012--but what if the collapse was metaphysical? Food for thought I'm thinking.

I just checked and according to Wikipedia I have survived no less than 76 'End of the World' predictions since I was born in '66.

    I'm a SURVIVOR! :rolling:

What's particularly humorous is that the number of EOW event predictions increases seeming exponentially the closer you get to current times.

What's funny is that the level of embarrassment of the people that said that the sky is falling seems very low following the day of no event.
"THE HORROR" is one of my favorite statements. Maybe because "Apocalypse Now" is not at all a movie about Viet-Nam.

Religion--some people take it seriously. I find it impossible to "have faith" in the most popular one(s) hereabouts. Three years in brutal Catholic schools cured me for life. To each their own as they see fit--golly, just like the former Bill of Rights used to insist.

    Behold his wonder!
Go back inside. look within yourself.
    Behold his wonder!

You need not name what brought you here.
You need only behold his Awesome wonder.

The theme song from "Monty Python and the Meaning of Life" is most assuredly in the same vein as your very nicely positive post. Thanks Daniel!
