Goldeneye Source is a remake of Goldeneye 64 on the Nintedo 64 but with new graphics, maps, weapons and multi-player setup. Relive the nastalgia of when you were a kid playing split-screen death match with the golden gun or moonraker laser.

    Conclusion:
Goldeneye Source ran really well in PlayOnLinux once I tested it with Wine 1.8-d3d_doublebuffer. Wine 2.0 and newer "staging" versions would crash/freeze randomly on any map. So it appears there is some kind of memory leak depending on the version of Wine and your settings. The "doublebuffer" patched version of Wine helped with these leaks, but some maps continued to crash. If it crashes, just launch again and the map should run fine.

I was able to play LAN games with bots too. The host will not show up in the server browser, but you can join the game by enabling the Developer console, pressing tilda and connecting to the host IP address. Type: connect 192.168.111.###

Goldeneye Source is now available on github https://github.com/goldeneye-source so I am hoping someone will port it to Linux natively, but until then, we can still play in PlayOnLinux/Wine
