The developers of Geneshift provide us with a great native Linux version and it plays beautifully. I was able to pick up Geneshift during a sale and got a few extra copies for my family. For the most part it is a typical twin-stick arcade shooter, but you can choose a bunch of upgrades depending on your level and how many coins you have. You can also drive cars-n-shoot or fly up or across buildings with jump-pads. In-game there are many NCP merchants who want to sell you stuff like grenades or ammo, but be careful no to shoot them.
