Conclusion:
Deus Ex GOTY only crash upon first launch and upon display changes. After I installed New Vision texture mod I never experienced another crash. It was probably due to setting the render device to direct3d instead of openGL. The texture mod is beautiful but no all textures are replaced. Character textures are not replaced. Everything ran great since this is an older game. It should run perfectly on laptops and probably netbooks.
