I didn't even think this was possible!
Here is my setup
hard-drive 1:
partition 1 - Windows 7
partition 2 - data
partition 3 - free space
hard-drive 2:
partition 1 - swap
partition 2 - linux
I had some free time last night and was in Windows 7 trying to clean stuff up. The partition 2 - data has a lot of Photos from my wifes photography business and I thought it would be a good idea to move them to partition 3 - free space.
So I decided to format partition 3 - free space and noticed it was a lot larger than I remembered. It used to be my original Mint testing environment.
Little did I know.... I just formatted hard-drive 2 partition 2 - Linux!!!
In the past Windows would not even see an ext partition! Why the heck did Windows 7 see it?
I'm talking Samsung SSD 120 Gig all formatted for Linux.
Totally sucks, but not the end of the world!
So I am spending my morning re-installing Mint 14 and re-setting all of my settings and installing Wine, PlayOnLinux, Chromium, 7zip, etc.
The only thing I lost was my Fable guide and Serious Sam BFE 3 Gig game.
Trial-by-Fire I guess!
Geesh, now I know not to trust Windows and make sure to check Disk Management first.
