Dawn Of Darkness is a recently released free-to-play FPS RPG mod for Quake II. This is a complete Total Conversion, including all-new weapons, bad guys, maps, textures, models, etc. There is even a new inventory system, and a character dialogue system where you can talk to anyone.

    Conclusion:
Dawn Of Darkness ran perfectly on my GeForce 9800, GTX 950... of course since its such an old game. I didn't play all the way through, but apparently the game is unfinished. You can also click "Load" and there are save games to other maps in the game.
