Why??? Why must they insist on created video game movies and completely ruin them? Even Assassin's Creed wasn't very good. At least it was serious, but it really didn't do the games any justice. The Resident Evil movies were ok, but eventually went way off story. Fallout show was really good but I couldn't finish it because my Prime account ended.
For me me the worst of it is that A game like 'last of us' has an excelent foumdational plot for a great action sci fi. movie. So why don't they make one??? I think its a lest in part arrogance. "It's just a game, something for kids." When often They just dom't have the chops to pick up the basic plot snd run with it. one might have made a dozon really good Boederlads movies full of wit humor and horror but that might have require some small bit of effort. They obveiously didm't think it was worth the time and effort. So we contimue to wait. for a decent artistic effort to bring our best games to our best artist writers and producers. to create something of value. something for the ages. for in my view games and movies of games remain in their infancy yet to realize what they might become. a retelling of the human experience.
You've introduced me to Critical drinker for the first time. If only the movie was as good as the review. People would be well served to watch his review and just let the movie sink into a richly deserved oblivion.
