I got Darksiders 2 on steam when proton steam came out. And been trying to play it with proton it started out good got it up and running. But then i went to change the resolution to 1080p and now the game comes up with just a black screen. I even installed different Linux OS and its still coming...
I'm going to get the first one of this Then give it another go. Is the first one DX11 for DXVK? If not i i will still git it and this one maybe. Do i i have to purchase the game from steam or Uplay. I see both on there

Yeah, your right there are tons of old game out there. I like old games I got one to work with proton (Dark Messiah of Might & Magic). Awesome!, I tired Darksiders which i know works with wine or wine-staging and proton didn't work they have a lot to update to it if...
Yeah that's the other thing wine needs to get off and find a way to work with anticheat or bypass it somehow? I'm surprised nobody did something about that yet.

it depends how far proton will go and what it can do. As of right now, i think a lot will still be using DXVK and wine. Its good to have both i hope none of them get to forgotten like playonlinux is getting it needs more help from others on the work front of the app and packages.

Hi guys batmanm0b1e here saw this article new steamplay, proton, vulkan, whatever you want to call it just steam, You can play your windows games some of them I'm not sure if all yet. I haven't tried this yet but I I'm going too.

OR you can
Install the game in Windows :eek: yuck i know
copy the game file directory to HDD or backup_drive game_drive
Then go to your Linux OS and copy all the files to the right dir GOG or Games folder or programsXfiles etc etc where ever the path was in windows
Then just use a wine version...
