Update: Got into the game and seemed to be playing fine during the tutorial. I was only in game about 5 minutes though. I'll try again tomorrow for longer.

They are calling it a competitive RPG. "Prime World merges persistent RPG hero development, PvP and story-driven battles and castle building." I like strategy, so I'll see if I like it.

Me too. I have been having so much fun in that game. And it runs great for me with POL, even with my integrated graphics. Wonder if there will be a vault/character wipe here at the end of beta?

I have a question. How do you go about finding out what libraries are needed for a game? What its software requirements are?

Me too. That is why I'm going to keep trying on SWTOR. I play that with my daughter. We also play Diablo 3, Neverwinter Online and all 4 of us play original NWN together.

Between work and family life I just don't game as much as I used to. If I have to I will drop SWTOR. If it can't be gotten to play in Linux I'll just do with out it. I'm that fed up with Windows, I'll drop a game rather than dual boot.

I agree completely. For me the last game that I enjoy playing that I can't get working yet is Star Wars: The Old Republic. When it is finally working all 4 PCs in my house will then have Linux on them. Everything else I play either plays natively or I have it working in POL.

Yeah the businesses that use products like you mention will be harder to switch over. I think home users and students and of course gamers will be easier to switch. But the gamers switching will depend on how well companies like Valve and other developers do at getting good game titles running...

We aren't the only one's that think it will be Half-Life 3 they use to promote SteamOS/Steam Machines. Why should I care about SteamOS?

I was looking at getting Prime World installed. I had the launcher working and it was downloading the game. But at 100% it crashed. When I restarted it it started all over downloading. For requirements I was going off this page, Additional Software. Anyone have any tips for me?

I know I would love it. The Half-Life series has always been one of my absolute favorites.

That would make perfect sense. They have been holding out on continuing the Half-Life story for some time now. Releasing it at the same time as their Steam Machine/ Steam OS would be perfect.
