OK, that was weird. But thanks a million for the suggestion. It loaded the mod :D
I changed MODPATH=Mod\ACM2.4 to MODPATH=Mod\\ACM2.4 and when I exited that screen and went back to see if it had kept the changes it had this: 'MODPATH=Mods\ACM2.4' and it is working. I guess the...
I'm trying to launch Star Wars EaW Forces of Corruption with MODPATH=Mod\MYMOD in the arguments. But ' \ ' character will not stay. I guess it isn't a supported PoL argument character.
Does anyone know a way with either a Launcher shortcut or a script that I can have; playonlinux --run...
The thing is the chip can handle it fine. The top picture is the same PC but playing in Windows. If it can run it that good in Windows then the HD 3000 card is capable of doing it in Linux. It just needs proper drivers in Linux.
I know the video drivers for Linux are still catching up with their Windows counter parts, but I didn't know it was this bad of a difference. I'm attaching two screen shots of the same area in Serious Sam 3: BFE. These are both being played on my laptop, specs in my signature. Windows one has...
Mint 13 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 which is a Long Term Support release. Mint 14 is based on Ubuntu 12.10, which is a regular release. And Mint 15 is based on Ubuntu 13.04 which is also a regular release. Ubuntu 14.04 will be the next Long Term Support release which is what Mint 17 will be based on.
14.04 is the next LTS release, and Mint 17 will be Mints next LTS release. And yeah Mint wants their long term release (Mint 13), that is supported until 2017, to have access to some of the improvements that have come around. I think it was a good call.
Apparently if you were running Mint 13 you could not get the listed things, or at least the newest ones. Since they are backporting them then people running Mint 13 LTS will have them. There have been huge improvements in both Mate and Cinnamon since the versions 13 was released with, so I'm...
I will buy it if at least some are Linux native. Like the one I bought it was worth it for Serious Sam 3 alone. But I also know Magicka will work in PoL and I have been having fun with it too. So it was worth it. This current bundle I will have to watch and see what other games they might add...
Yeah it is nice and fast. I used Crunchbang for a while and in some ways it is faster. But as far as game performance I really didn't notice any real boost. So I'm back to using Cinnamon as my DE, which I really like.
Why does it suck that you are giving a vastly superior operating system a chance? I hope you give it a good fair chance so that you can realize the joy of Linux. Stability, Security, so Customizable.
You have access to the full Debian repos, so you can install anything you want. So yeah you could install PoL from the repos. It is in its early stages, I'll watch it and maybe give it a try at a little later date.
Scored 9 games and soundtracks. :D 3 native Linux, most of the others I'll probably be able to get working with PoL. I'll be checking the Humble Bundle site often from now on.
Natural Selection 2, Sanctum 2 and Magicka with "Vietnam" and "Dungeons and Daemons" DLC. Orcs Must Die!, Orcs...
