I am taking a hard look at the GeForce 650 Ti. I may be able to shave some cost as my board supports PCIe 2.0 rather than 3.0. Do I need 2gb vs 1gb or ram? And so on.

I am looking from $100 to $200. It is strongly looking like a GeForce type card. I hope a sale will come up.

Thank you! I called MSI regarding my AMD based board. I was told SLI won't work with my system and I already knew it is a crossfire board. Many of my games start with a NVIDIA commercial so that should be a clue to me. So again back on the hunt for a good NVIDIA based card.

I think Booman is correct as he has the knowledge and experience. I work with the limited knowledge that I have. It would be a help to know if 32bit vs 64 or Mint 14 vs 15 makes any difference. As there are so many hardware configurations it would be almost impossible for us to rule that out on...

I downloaded the demo from Steam. I ran it on my laptop in Windows 7, Wow this game looks good! I am thinking about getting the game. Any luck with it on Linux yet?

Thank you guys! So far working better. But the game crashed a couple of times with the virtual desktop. So, I disabled and it ran without it. Then I re-enabled virtual desktop and it worked again. This saved me a lot of trouble with troubleshooting and reinstall. Yippee! Now, to work on why the...

In Playonlinux when the debug is used it may list a lot of "fix me". Is there a guide to tell what they mean? Sometimes I get a game to run. I exit from the game to Mint desktop, but I only get a quarter top left of it. I can cntrl alt backspace and relog on. And all is well. What is happening...
