Bought A House!

Thanks everyone!
I'll keep posting pics as the remodeling starts and completes. Of course I'll be making video's for my recording studio too.

I'm working on building a recording studio/home theater in the Garage.
Started back in December with tear out and insulation of the existing walls and ceiling.
I completed the framing several months ago around March I think...
Just finished the electrical wiring. I'm no electrician, but running the wire is easy. I have an electrician who has approved my wiring.

I ran the following:
- 5 wall outlets
- 1 water heater pump outlet
- 2 rear speaker outlets
- TV outlet
- 2 light switches
- 2 ceiling fans

Next is Insulating the new walls and ceiling: Mineral Wool

Fun!

Was the electrician a friend, or did you have to hire someone to come in and look it over?

I hired a company. Also used them when we moved in to connect a kitchen light, stove and some outlets.
I'm no good with this stuff... kinda scared to learn it myself.

They didn't seem to have any issues with my stapling and receptacles

Yep, looks good.

NEC compliance can be complex, but most of it really is just 'common sense' type stuff.

Thanks guys!
I'm not starting the next insulation phase in the new framing. I have been overestimating the amounts and finding that it's much cheaper. Well Mineral Wool insulation isn't cheap, but I thought I was going to need 3 times more than I really do.
Same with drywall. I think I'm gonna need about 1000 sf of surface to cover. So I think that will be about 60 sheets of 4x8 drywall sheets.
I was originally thinking I would need double that... I can't imagine having 120 sheets of drywall stacking in the garage.

Remember to soundproof I will need two layers of drywall, otherwise I would only need 30 sheets.
