I thought I should post this on gamesonlinux. I hope Fireaxis ports Civilization 5. I know they promised to port Civilization:BE after it launches in the fall.

BTW did you know that Tux is almost as far as Pluto now!. That stupid butterfly never made it past the ISS! I heard a while back that NASA got sick of Windows always failing on the ISS and decided they didnt want to put the mission at risk any more so they replaced it with a custom version of Debian. Gee I wouder why.;)

No more headaches every time Steam for Windows or Fireaxis updates and breaks wine functionality. :)

Please do. I want the computer gaming industry to know that Linux gamers are nicer and spend more on games - Humble bundle statistics - than Windows or Mac! Lets hope Aspry ports more of the hot games to Steam OS and Steam for Linux. I know not everyone wants to use Steam but Steam is currently leading the industry in porting to Linux. Origin might be coming to Linux. That's a good thing If it does. A bit of competition keeps everyone on their toes. The last thing we Linux gamers need is for Steam or some one to become a huge monopoly!:rolleyes:

True we are a unique breed of gamers:
    • Pay more for Games
    • More patient with installing games
    • More knowledgeable about our operating system
    • Very thankful for support
    • Support each other in Linux communities
Who would want to loose that kind of customer? Some of us even improve Linux, games, libraries and programs to make Gaming easier.
    I'll definitely post a Thanks

There was also a thank you thread on the Space Hulk forum on Steam. This all just help to generate positive feedback to the developers, and make their work feel appreciated. Even the bugs that Space Hulk originally had met much more understanding from Linux gamers than the Windows gamers. Linux gamers even went out of their way to test in different setups to help out.

Hopefully more developers will see and appreciate this kind of attitude, which could bring us more native Linux games.

I'm still happy about GOG's announcement to include native Linux games in their store and can't wait for the day when I can download native Linux games from them.

Hey Electronic Arts are you folks listening? Hint The Sims 3 and The Sims 4. Some folks might be feeling nostalgic and wan to play play The Sims 2 or even The Sims 1. Maybe Spore or The Sims Medieval.

Unfortunately a brick wall listens better than EA does. ;) Battlefield three looked pretty good at E3 last week.

EA were voted the "Worst company in America" two years in a row on the consumerist. I have personally avoided to buy any EA games in the last 3 years or so, primarily because DRM.
