I was 11 years old. My mom and dad went out to the 'pictures' one night, and the next day I just happened to see the ticket stub for 'Midnight Cowboy'.
Later, while looking in the newspaper for a movie to go to with my friends, I noticed that Midnight Cowboy had been rated 'X'. LOLZ! How that evening changed my perception of my parents
Now, of course, we watch Joe Buck and Ratso and wonder why it was ever an 'X' movie
Fun fact: it's the only X rated film to ever win Best Picture at the Oscars.
Trivia question: What is the only OTHER X-rated film to be nominated for Best Picture?
I've won quite a few bar bets with this one. Most people quickly say 'Last Tango in Paris'.All that comes to mind that might fit is "the Graduate?" But I think that won.
Burt Lancaster did one where he played an immoral preacher that fairly smoked up the screen.
One line of dialog during his trial from a parishioner on the witness stand:
"Then he laid me down and struck lighting into me!"
My 11 year old ears burned!! LOL
There is a whole series of these videos, and they are all hilarious!

This guy blows me away. Most who pursue music do so with the ear alone.
They learn music history by learning one song at a time then playing it.
and over time aquiring an understanding of why this or that "works"
This guy is a music historian. In my view he is very good at what he does.
