It's pretty interesting. If we ever get Patti's pension straighten out I'll have to get one that better fits my eye sight and new living space. Right now I have a as plain as dirt led 46 inch HiSence. No OLED or Qled. It cost 300 and has since dropped to 250. I often have difficulty in finding any flaw at all. The industry is saying that OLed is as big a jump as it was from 640X480 to 1080. But I suspect at lest some hype.I was meaning to cancel the posts in tthis topic when I had seen them. Can't see youtube unles I repost here.":O} But if your interested I'll lleave them up at lest for a little while.":O}
OLED has a fantastic colour gamut and dynamic range. Unless you buy one of the top-spec ones, they'll be dim, though, and you'll have to keep your room fairly dark to be able to see them clearly.
Thank you for all of the reviews, maybe I'll be super lucky and not have to by a modern tv? Ay yai yai! I turned seventy today. I'm sure there's no chance that my 40" Samsung will last another two full years. Sigh. I'd love to not have to buy a newer tv! I think I saw some reviewer say that burn-in is possible with OLED. Such advancement!
Thanks for the advice Kaitain! It would be lovely if I could chug along with my old Samsung 40 incher forever. But the last Samsung I bought lasted two and a half years. I think this one is about that age now. Fingers crossed!
