Update: I have installed Arch Linux instead of Linux Mint and everything is working now! No graphical glitches and the performance is a little bit better.
I have also missed my Arch :p But Linux Mint is also a great distro! Better than Ubuntu imho. But I like the Arch way more.
I've set up a mate environment which now looks pretty close to the Mint version because I like the Mint theme. It's very pleasant! Overall the step to Arch was an improvement again.
CS:GO is also without the green touch :)

Don't tell us that you didn't LUV that pea-soup shade of green? But seriously, well done on your Arch installation!

Hi, so what's the situation now? :) Or for anybody else who has the e460 with R7 360m.

I really like this laptop, but the AMD gpu is the one thing that's holding me back. I am actually considering buying more expensive ones with worse CPU / GPU just to avoid dealing with the drivers.. It would be nice if somebody could share their first-hand experience.. :) (both with gaming - simple games AND more intensive stuff like watching 1080p 60fps / 4k 60fps videos..)

Recently read that only MS's Edge or maybe IE are the only way to see Netflix in 1080p. Sorry, that's WAY too much of a bow to Bill for me. 720p will have to do.

Yeah, those rogue waves sometimes seem to wait behind every third bush.

Jeb's campaign was surprisingly short lived. The Donald really upended the Republicans.

I know you know that...but "I" was the one who said it...

Let this be a sign and a reminder of the strange thought processes

    we all share

    and deny

    but struggle to get the credit for! ":O}

Spot on Dan, I think you are absolutely right. Out Bushes the Bush, I said many years ago. The small acts he does now to try to polish the nadir of his reign are so obvious and so tiny. Funny if it weren't so sad.

I regularly get emails that ask me to polish a tured. Not possible. It's quite possible that the Hilarious one will be worse. Happy days are where, again?

More of the same will be worse... would they bother to find a nut job as scary as Trump if they weren't trying to get us to accept something as really awful as Ms Clinton?

For me it's the old bad tyrant worst tyrant routine...

you never come out on top
"If you follow heads of states
you never come out on top"

Working on the night shift--with the forklift. Working on the forklift...in the night shift. Love the guy, he died WAY too young.

This election seems to have gone out of its way to bring out the absolute worst in BOTH parties. I can't express how utterly heartbroken I am to see my countrymen actively supporting EITHER of these cadidates.

Absotively right, Gizmo. I guess it's possible that Bernie's delegates may pull the Demokratische machinery a bit toward the betterment of The Little Guy. Not holding my breath.

To get back to the topic:
With kernel 4.6 my batterylife expanded a lot and also 3D perfomance got significantly improved.
During the last two weeks I also took a look at the new Manjaro version which installs dual graphics drivers by default and everything went fine. I never had any problems regarding my AMD gpu since my switch to Arch.
But I also cannot say that there still might be some compatibility issues or not since I am not gaming much during the last months because of my studies.
The most time I was playing Mount and Blade Warband or Neverwinter Nights Diamond which are rather old but they run really fine!

Well done! Avoiding AMD GPU hassles is not easy for everyone.

I would really, REALLY like to see AMD produce a set of Linux drivers that were halfway decent. Last I checked, the AMD linux drivers were still pretty sad.
