    I've watched The Dark Mod on moddb for years.
    Kinda slow for my gaming needs, but very nice graphics and story.
    The community is pretty big too. There are lots of custom maps for Dark Mod.
    Thanks for reminding me that it runs natively.
    Can you run a mod as easily as copy/paste files to doom3 folder and then clicking the Mods button in Doom3?

    I just saw this on Moddb.com
    Dark Mod goes stand-alone

    Very cool, now you don't have to install Doom3, but what about Linux?
    Will their stand-alone engine support Linux?

    It sure does. All you need is their TDM updater, second section for linux. Full native linux support.
