Steam update hangs then crashes - wine 1.5

    Trying to install steam through POL and it keeps hanging then crashing. Is there a DLL I should install to make it work better?

    Steam just hangs at 72,498 / 119,395 KB

    Never mind I installed steam through the terminal for wine and it went just fine.

    That is strange, I've never experienced this problem. I use Wine 1.6.2 or 1.7.8 & newer
    Steam always installs just fine.
    Typical libraries are:
    • corefonts
    • dxfullsetup
    • tahoma
    • vcrun
