For anyone who may not know Mint uses the Precise version, the first one on the list. Also as I'm I'm feeling chatty, Wine just updated to 1.2.27 to better wander in the fields of Mint.
Ah Precise huh? How did you figure that out? I was installing Natty because it sounded cool... I had no idea what all of these versions meant. I saw that too about Wine on PlayOnLinux website
To be honest I no longer remember, but I'm 99% sure I'm got this right...at lest it always works great. I had no idea other versions would work! ":O}
Look around on the download site there must be something there on this or where would I have gotten it from!? ":O}
I went ahead and posted in their forum asking what all the different versions mean. I bet it has something to do with desktop managers
Now we know... I've been running the wrong PlayOnLinux this whole time! Ironically its been running really well, so from now on I'm going to install PlayOnLinux from my Mint updates or by downloading the .deb file.
Wait...I missed that! How wrong POL? I thought POL was POL, POL specializes it's Apt to match destros?
guess so, thats way too much work if you ask me. Just do a PlayOnLinux for each major distribution... nuff said But apparently they want it to run on all the unique Ubuntu releases
