I recently found out that there is an available App in Phoenicis called "Local Installer" where you can do a manual installation just like in PlayOnLinux 4. Unfortunately I found it to be as painful and PoL4 and redundant. I tried installing Firestarter (GOG) from the Local Installer and followed similar steps to PlayOnLinux 4 Manual Installation. The game worked, but I had a hard time finding it after the installation was finished. Go to Apps Find Local Installer Click Install & follow instructions Can select Wine version (downloading is extremely slow) Can select 32-bit or 64-bit containers and Wine versions Can not install packages, ex: dotnet, vcrun, d3dx9, msxml3, etc. Naming the "Container" will be the name shown in the Library Mistakenly Named the container "Test Game" Allows you to select an installer GOG Installation ran perfectly Had to find Test Game in Library to play Firestarter Installations Tab is only for current installations not finished ones It definitely took a while to get it installed and setup properly, but I was still confused in the process. Maybe its because I have used PlayOnLinux 4 for such a long time?
Hello, I am a newby when it comes to linux, and maybe someone can help me out. I would like to use windows games on linux but it wont work with my pheonics on KDE Neon. The app is working and I am able to add the .exe manually with the local installer. But if I selected everything the loading circle keeps going forever and the installation does not start. I hope someone can help me with this problem. Sorry for my bad English my mainlanguage is another.
I honestly don't use Phoenicis, instead I still use PlayOnLinux for all of my games and applications. I could happily show you how to install it in PlayOnLinux. Which game are you trying to run?
