This is going to sound stupid. I install steam and get rid of the provided GCC packs and whatnot and I start steam. Only problem is when steam starts it freezes at the breakpad handler exception slot and nothing happens after that. I left it for 2 hours on my machine and still nothing happened. I have never had this happen before and I don't exactly know how to go at it.

It's puling a windows XP and I dunno how to fix it.

Nothing appears in journalctl or in dmesg.

This is a fresh, brand new 64bit arch install.

I'm guessing you are meaning Steam in PlayOnLinux or Wine right?
I've never had this problem in the past at all
I've been playing in Steam regularly for the past 4 months and haven't noticed anything different.
What version of Wine are you using?

Not wine, native steam. I eventually said fuggit and reinstalled completely and it seemed to have worked.

Works in windows and osx, works in linux too
