I have tried Guild Wars 2 but sadly that didn't run well. I would try Lord of the rings online but I have already beat the free to play part of the game and it takes a lot of collecting coins to be able to progress further (unless I pay). So any free mmorpg's I can try, that are good and run decent?

Drakensang and Spiral Knights are top-down RPGs and totally free.
Both are low spec requirements and run on just about anything.

I've seen Spiral Knights - doesn't look like something i'd play. Drakensang looks decent though. I have a few questions - does it still gets updates and how many hours can you spend in it?

Yeah Spiral Knights is very "arcade" but has some interesting features.
Its kinda like Mario meets Zelda

    Drakensang is amazing!
Wonderful graphics, less than 1GB download (streams on initial installation)
Intense action, lots of weapons, loot and enemies.
There is a lot of repetition as well and grinding.
But it is a lot of fun in a group.

I don't know how many hours I have spent, but I've play it half-way through (level 42) about 3 times as different classes.
So I can imagine at least 40-60 hours and there is still a lot more to go

Were you able to get Drakensang working?
Here is the guide in case you need step-by-step instructions: Drakensang Guide

WOW runs pretty great. F2P is pretty fun even if it is 20 levels. You can run around on the maps and the really high level monsters ignore you so while your friends are about to go in a raid on a map you can run in and scout it out XD

Or you used to be able to. When they started that whole thing I jumped on it and I did that for a week till college classes started.

I've always stayed away from World of Warcraft because of cost.
I'm really loving the free-to-play MMORPGs like Star Trek Online, Neverwinter, Spiral Knights, Wakfu, Champions Online, Guild Wars 2, Age of Wushu and many more...

WoW Works perfectly on my Laoptop on Linux! GuildWars2 goes with hard fps drops between 10-40fps os i quit to try this game. Neverwinternights doesent work good on my System. I tried it but it Lags and the Mouse goes sometimes very fast and sometimes very slow.. Lord of the Rings Online works perfect but the player base isnt that great. GuilWars1 should work very good but i never played it. Eve online should also work fine. As far as i know you should be able to play ElderScrollsOnline nearly Natively. :)
