Tried playing GW2 in Linux again after a few years, and the FPS is absolutely horrible. At everthing at the lowest settings or turned of I go from 25-10 fps. I remember running this came at least 40-ish fps (and that was on my old 4130, now have a fx 8350). Are anyone able to run it at a higher fps wit higher graphics settings?
FX 8350 is an AMD card right? Are you using the Gallium drivers and Wine-staging versions? I'm not very experienced in AMD cards, but I've heard Gallium will boost some performance with games in Wine
Sorry. FX8350 is my AMD CPU, with Evga Geforce 960 GTX 4 GB. I was initially running with latest wine-staging. I tried a boat load of different wine versions but it's the same shit performance on all wine versions (down to 1.4). I'm wondering if arenanet did something that messed it up completely. In the current state, GW2 is just unplayable in Linux.
I don't thinks so, but did you try adjusting the resolution and/or graphics? I definitely wasn't able to run everything on high. I have a GeForce GTX 950 now, so maybe I should try Guild Wars 2 again?
Graphics set to lowest / disabled increased the fps from 5-15 to 15-25. At the very least when I played GW 2 back in the day it didn't run shit like this. It ran much better.
