https://www.gamingonlinux.com/artic...-out-payday-2-mordor-and-more-coming-too.5047 Not all of these have been confirmed yet, so do try to contain your enthusiasm.
I am desperately trying to contain myself here, The Witcher 3 is something I REALLY want to see on Linux, and Arkham Knight would be awesome too. Not to mention Shadow of Mordor. I'm happy if just Witcher 3 is true, I'll live if the rest does not come to Linux.
Shadow of Mordor might be the next game I spend more than $5.00 on. My wife bought Skyrim used for $30 on amazon a year after it was released. That was the last "big" purchase I've made for games. I'm very impressed with what I see in The Witcher 3... but I'm going to wait for a sale or something. What is Batman: Arkham Knight? Is that the new one?
Yes is the new batman More other titles like evolved also announced for steamos and many other This year maybe possible is very good year for linux native gaming
Arkham Knight will require DX10 at least, so it will not run in Wine. So I really hope to see it released for Linux. I love the other Arkham games and I don't want to miss out on the next game, the trailers look awesome. More native games would be really great.
That is a really good point. As games are released as Dx10 only, our last hope is they get some Linux attention. The timing is almost perfect too! Linux is getting really big as developers are starting to "write off" Windows XP and Direct X 9
There is a sale on Steam now, featuring SteamOS games! http://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamos_sale A lot of upcoming games are on this list. I seriously doubt they would have this sale if it was not confirmed. All three games I wished for are in the sale. I have already pre-purchased Witcher 3 on GOG so I will not get it. But Shadow of Mordor and Arkham Knight are on the sale so I'm grabbing them now. Edit: Shadow of Mordor will have a Linux version in June according to the Steam page. The Witcher 3 Steam page does not mention anything about a Linux version yet. But they are featuring it on the SteamOS sale.
Just noticed that if I had actually checked Aryvandaar's original link, I would have seen the sale sooner. In any case, of the three games I want, only The Witcher 3 does not have Linux mentioned on the store page for the game. Arkham Knight and Shadow of Mordor are confirmed. I still consider the other games confirmed since they are appearing in this sale.
I agree, I would also find it strange if TW3 does not get a Linux version. I think CDPR just wants to keep their cards close to their chests, with all the delays they have had, which I think is understandable.
