If you want to see some of the most glorious in-game screenshots, check out: Deadendthrills.com Almost all of my Walpapers are from this site. Shots of games in a way you will never see yourself because they have a extra tweaks and plugins to make games even more beautiful.
I have some of those Skyrim modes that they we using. Chek the Steam Workshop you can download modes for free. I have about 45 mods so far. You can get mods for other games to such as Civilization 5.
I have the Retail version of Skyrim, but I have seen several mods on Moddb.com I'm more interested in the the Vanilla game for now. One day I'll actually install it and try it out. Maybe first in Linux
I always start with manual installation for any game. First I'll check WineHQs to see if the game even works with Wine. Then I'll take note of the necessary libraries. This is usually enough to get a game running. Two games that refused to run 6 months ago now run just fine: Assassin's Creed & Crysis
Very true, but WineHQ usually has the most active community. If its not in WineHQs, then I google the game. If I can't find it in a google search, then I try to do the trial-n-error myself. Its happend a few times with indie games.
I don't understand why this forum bothers to have an edit option since every time I try to edit my post it always says the time out period has expired. I just tried to add to this post not more than 2 seconds after posting and it said it was to late already! I was going to say that I don't even bother to post on wine HQ any more since I always use PlayOnLinux now. POL is much easier than just wine. You should check the POL forums when you want to see if any one got a game working if wine HQ has nothing else you might over look useful information.
Yeah, I'm not sure why the edit button isn't working. Our forum is fairly new and we've never used Xenforo before. So there are a few bugs we are still working out. I've notified Gizmo about it and he said there are some permission issues that need to be sorted. The main reason I go to WineHQ is because almost every PC game known to man is there. There is test report for every one of them too. I found that on PlayOnLinux forum there are just too many games missing. At least a lot of games I have made guides on were just not there. But I will continue searching on both sites for answers. A good researcher never turns down a site...
