Someone had to post this at some point...
I love the Elder Scrolls franchise and every game available within it.
They practically sum up the history of gaming technology with a few games.

I will definitely check out ESO at some point. I won't be there at launch, but I'll wait until the bugs are patched up.
I wonder if they have even considered a Linux port?
All the other systems are on the list... where's Linux?
Specially since Skyrim is a Steam-Only game and Steam is now Linux compatible... it would be nice to have ESO on the SteamBox

Has anyone tried Elder Scrolls Online in Wine/PlayOnLinux yet?
There are some good reports here on WineHQs: Elder Scrolls Online

I have it running under WINE without any problems. It's just a shame that I don't have the time to play a MMO any more

Nice! Any hoops to jump through in order to get it running?

It's pretty straight-forward. The only real obstacle I had was with the lib32-libpulse package in Manjaro. I had to downgrade it. I'm not sure if this problem is present in your preferred distro.

Another issue, a minor one is that the texture quality was "locked" to medium, and I had to click on "recommended settings" every time I started the game to force it to high.

To fix this I forced the texture quality in the settings text file in my documents. After that I no longer had to click recommended every time I started the game.

I remember that I found a very solid youtube walkthrough including POL graphical settings. I can see if I can find a link tomorrow.

I don't get the locked texture quality. It must be mis-reading your video card specs.
I have seen other games do it as well, but no way to adjust it.
