So a while ago I made darksouls work in WINE. Should I make a guide for it? I feel like you guys would flip the boat if I did and I would never see you again >.>
The only reason I ask if I should post it, that I failed to mention because immediately after I passed out onto my desk and had a forcefed nap, is because the first time I made it work was a while a go when I had to do all sorts of things to WINE to make it work and it might kill the motivation of anyone wanting to play it in linux. I can't say that the edits to wine will need to be made anymore.
Sure, why not? I don't even own either games, so I won't be doing guides on those. You may want to ask Daerandin too.
The why not aspect was the whole "Take 2 hours to examine and analyze WINE on your system and make scripts to fit how your specific computer works".
It would be cool to get working, but I heard that Dark Souls is a rather shitty port even on Windows. I think I might get those games on PS3 instead.
Well that's a shitty attitude when you never played it. Personally I've played from Demon's Souls on and never had an issue. Believe what you want though.
Some time i tested dark souls However you need nodvd: FLT nodvd + xliveless and if appears problems with video at begins only needs rename this video (this have wmv extension change to example video.wmv.a) Dark souls II have many flickering like other titles as WRC 1 - 2 -3 - 4, PES 2013 and others
I think I'll try to make some reviews for it but I'll have to find where I put the files. They'll be up in a month. I have to figure out how I did it.
I finally picked up Dark Souls and did a guide with DSfix http://www.gamersonlinux.com/forum/threads/dark-souls-guide.1693/
Nope, never purchased it. So I won't be testing it. I gave up on the first Dark Souls. Waaay too hard. Sad because I'm a pretty patient gamer, but it really tested my patience and won.
