It's just not in me to be cruel, my pointer didn't show up in the screen shot...I image it's because it's two small to be photographed.

Ha ha! Sorry I didn't see this until today... kinda ignore emails over the weekend.

The first thing I noticed is your font sizes and icons sizes are much larger in your screen than mine.
So there is a chance the cursor will not get any larger because everything is scaled high enough already.

Also, I was going to send you a screenshot of my cursor, but the screenshot utility and scrot will not include the pointer. Even with an option to "include pointer" still didn't appear.

I have had trouble for a long time getting my fonts so I can read them, hit and miss as far as which settings control which fonts and where.

    I have finally figured out were several of the settings I need are. But the cursor remains a mystery! ":O}
    Oh! I'm at 4K settings

Ah, 4K means super high resolution:
    3840 x 2160 pixels

So everything in the screen is super small and the OS needs to adjust with Scaling features.
There is a way to scale the mouse in a Terminal command.

I also read there are cursor themes in the Software Manager. You could try those as well.
Also, if you are using a Theme, try resetting it to the default Mint Theme and see if the mouse scales properly.

To be honest I don't even remember what default looks like. But I've tried dozens over the years and they never change the cursor size.
I tried a half dozen in software manager, mostly silliness and color. one said huge cursor, but didn't do anything.

Lets try it from the Terminal

    1. Launch the Terminal
    2. Type this command:
      sudo gsettings get org.cinnamon.desktop.interface cursor-size 96
    3. Press Enter
    4. Restart Mint
If the mouse isn't any larger then I guess leave it alone, but if its too big, try the command again and user a lower size:

    24 - Default

    32 - Medium

    48 - Large

    64 - Larger

    96 - Largest

Dang, it was worth a try.
I'm guess a Theme has hi-jacked your cursor settings. Did you ever try a different theme for Cinnamon?
    Maybe even a default theme?

Hmm, I'm out of ideas at this point. All I can think of is lowing the screen resolution... maybe to 2K
