Broken Packages (Components, Libraries)

Recently I've noticed that a few PlayOnLinux packages are not downloading and installing properly:
  • corefonts
  • dotnet 20
  • dotnet 30
  • dotnet 35
  • wininet
There may be more packages with issues, but these two refuse to download and install. This specifically happens on a new Distro installation with a new PlayOnLinux 2.4.10 install.

Dotnet 35 throws an error and will not go any further.

Corefonts will keep trying to install but never finishes

The only workaround I have is copying the packages from another computer and putting them in the .PlayOnLinux/resources directory.

Has anyone else found any other broken packages?

What does the error look like?

You might try changing your repo address in repos.conf, or whatever it's called in Mint.

For dotnet, it is a File Mismatch error. For corefonts, it doesn't produce an error, just gets stuck in a loop over and over.
I just noticed today that there are several posts on PlayOnLinux Bugs page about these exact issues:
https://www.playonlinux.com/en/tracker-1.html

So it seems the developers are not fixing the Packages bugs. Really sucks because sometimes the packages are the only thing stopping a game from installing or running.

Fortunately I've backed up all the packages I've ever used. So I have a local copy for myself.
