    Welcome!
I' m new on this forum and i'm an new Ubuntu user, so i were thankfull for a detailed guide: how I can install Assassin's Creed 2 from Steam on Ubuntu trough PlayOnLinux.
I already installed Skyrim and i wanted to install AC2 with the same way, but then UPlay says: "UPlay found an unrecovable error and will now shut down" or so.
    Thanks

The Assassin's Creed II guide is a bit different because of Uplay
I suggest following the Assassin's Creed II guide because you need Uplay pre-installed first.
I also recommend using Wine 1.8 as well

In recent wine version uplay have problems for example in farcry 3

Need runs using farcry3.exe directly because regular mode game crash, at simple seek farcry3updater shows error

Yes, start by installing Uplay first, then install Steam, download ACII and at first launch it will try to install Uplay but will find that its already installed and will continue with launching Uplay and updating.
There are a lot of steps, but it should eventually work.
I suggest using Wine 1.8 when setting all of this up.
I hate that Uplay is required, but there is no other way to play ACII
I think all of these steps are in the guide.
Same steps for the Brotherhood and Revelations guides

Ok, this time, instead of clicking "Run" to play Assassin's Creed 2, click Debug
This way a window will appear that logs everything happening behind-the-scenes. Please copy and paste everything you see. It might help us find out what is missing...
Normally clients like Steam and Uplay only crash because of a version of Wine that it outdated or missing libraries.

In my case as appears in upper farcry 3 video, is needed run game since steam because since uplay sometimes crash

Almost forget once have updated uplay, try rename UplayCrashReporter.exe to UplayCrashReporter.exe.a in Ubisoft Game Launcher folder

At now Proceed to delete all files in *logs folder and all files in *crashes folder

*Both folders stay in same Ubisoft Game Launcher folder

    :)
