    I finally bought my first SSD hard drive.
    It had enough good reviews and the capacity/price was just right!

    SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

    I'll let you know how Mint reacts to it.
    Hopefully some more performance...
    This means I'll be installing Mint 14 again and updating to the newest Wine and PlayOnLinux.
    But with 120 Gigs I'll have enough space to install games and keep them installed

    We'll see, I have read many-a-review on other SSD drives and people are having issues.
    You are the only one I know who doesn't have problems with your hard drive.

    I have a 128G Kingston and a 180G Intel, problem-free in both Linux and Windows.

    I've had the Kingston for nearly two years, and the Intel for about 9 months or so.

    Between Patti and I we have 5 of them, not a bit of trouble from any of them...":O}

    I should perhaps add that all my 90 gigs are Corsair and my two 256 gig SSD's are Vertex 4.

    I have an SSD as my main OS drive (and a game or two) on my main box (typing from it now) and thus far I haven't had an issue. Boot times are great and everything seems nice and fast. I have 2 160 gig drives in Raid for speed and I have all my music and games on those. The system is pretty fast and feels pretty fast. Just need a better video card than this 220.

    Next year I hope to upgrade the card.
