You want as few turns in the pipes as possible, the pressure drops a given amount on each tight bend.

I have everything I think I need, I bought a few 90 degree adapters and a 3 way and valve for quick draining. What are some tips before installing everything? like cleaning, ect.

    Here is my blueprint lol

The rad is mounted on what is basically the motherboard tray (Lian li pc011 air) and the res will be mounted on the front intake 120mm fans.

Yeah got it all up and running. I did the thermal paste kinda shitty so I just ordered some noctua and am gonna redo soon. I got big fluctuations between cores, and I used what cheap paste came with the block. Overall it wasn't too hard, my biggest issue(s) was getting everything to fit the way I wanted it to. The pump/res is too big to do any other config. I probably wont be keeping this case forever.

    Not bad!
Very tight fit. I wonder if the modders buy long tubes and cut them to fit?

I don't have the courage to try water cooling. Not going to risk my hardware with an H20 mistake :(

Its so hard to get the tubes on the barbs I think you hardly need the compression fittings. I leak tested it for a few hours once I got everything cut to size, with distilled water, and cleaning out the whole loop. I would say don't be scared and go for it. It was no different that the first time you build your own computer, you think you know everything but you learn a lot more during the build.

Hello, bonesaw! I'm sure you have installed your water cooler by now. (your link is 404)
I've bolted in this unit- Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 CPU Cooler.
One of it's attractions is that it is a closed unit-no liquid to add.

It is always great to see folks try the unusual and new to them tech. Well done and I hope you are happy with the reduced temperatures you now have!

Yes, setting everything up and understanding the concept of watercooling was easy, getting everything to fit was a nightmare, I shot myself in the foot about a million times. I got a bigger reservoir because I thought it would look cooler but that shoehorned me into my current config because nothing else would fit in any other location. I will probably end up getting another new case only a few years down the road.

It's a good thing that you went to the trouble of installing a liquid cooling system. Now you certainly know how to do something new. Yaay! Is the difference in temps worth the hassle? Are you OCing?
