    You have stretch time
    to reach tomorrow.

    I was looking for someplace
    to put down this poem
    carried to long and thirsting
    for a little water from another time.

    You saw time as a river
    and watched me wash away
    I see time as Ocean
    where rivers dry up
    Ocean becomes and stays.

    So I carry this love of you.
    to scratch a bit in the dirt.

    I am looking for some way to show
    you ocean deeps
    can never wash you away.

    Driftwood needs no one to gather it, to stack or burn.
    And you had no need of me.
    So this is some thing for me to settle
    at the bottom of the sea.

    IIRC, the light twin he was piloting did crash in water. So you were maybe mostly right.

    Weyell, we had a Cocker Spaniel named "Tammy." Whut can I tell ya, I was younger and even more oblivious . Was not a big DR fan.
